Can anybody reccomend an alternative to wool suits? I started work at a bank a little less than a year ago and have since discovered that i am allergic to wool :( Any decent suit I can find is some type of wool blend and makes me itch. Im looking for an alternative(other than silk), and am having trouble finding one. Thanks.
Steam and Wool Suits? Hey guys, have a question for ya. A wool suit of mine has some wrinkles in it. I don't really have time to take it to the cleaners, so I was wondering if I ran the shower extra hot in my bathroom and got the entire room really steamy, and hung the suit up in the room, away from the water of course, will that help smooth out some of the wrinkles? I have heard that you can do it, but I don't want to ruin my suit. Any advice would be great! Thanks
How Do Jos. A. Bank Signature merino wool suits compare to other brands? How do these suits which seem really nice to me (but I don't know much about suits) compare quality wise to an icon like Hart Schafner Marx or Joseph Abboud? Please don't respond if you aren't someone who has experience with this. For example, there should be nobody responding to this unless they work in retail, or have purchased/looked at these types of suits.

How do I get chalk stain out of a wool suit jacket? My boyfriend bought a new suit for a party that is in four days. He had it altered and when we picked it up, there were still chalk marks on the jacket. Is it okay to use a damp cloth? It's 100% wool. Any other suggestions? We only have a few days! Thanks!
How do I remove crayon from a $1500 wool suit? Today in Sunday School one of the little "angels" that my husband and I teach took a blue crayon to my husband's gray, 100% wool Italian suitcoat. How do we remove this without destroying the suit?
Wool suit pants accidentally thrown in washing machine. Ruined? Being the clueless bachelor that I am, I accidentally put a pair of expensive wool suit slacks into the washing machine with a load of clothes. It didn't go through the whole wash cycle...I realized my mistake and took the slacks out about halfway into the cycle. I rinsed them off, rolled them in a towel, then hung them to dry. Are these slacks ruined? I will have them dry cleaned and pressed, but I think they might have shrunk or deformed due to being immersed in warm water. They fit perfectly prior to my mistake and are tight now, but this could be because they're wrinkled and need pressing, which hopefully will bring them back to their original size. Has anyone else done this? Thanks.

I have to wear 2 wool suits this weekend and of course they itch, is there anything that i can do to them so they can become softer and therefore make the itching more tolerable? i will try and wear something underneath but i want to soften up the wool too. is this possible?
Is it a gray wool suit ok for this season? and for an interview? I have an interview at Nielsen Media Research tomorrow, and I am planing to wear a blue shirt, black dress shoes and black belt with my gray wool suit for it...It looks very professional, the suit has stripes and the tie is stripped with white, dark gray, blueish and black stripes, it looks great with the suit and the shirt...My question is: being a dar gray wool suit, I suppose is a winter or autumn suit right?
What happens if you wash a wool suit?? It's 100% wool and supposed to be dry clean only. Long story short, can't dry clean it by tomorrow, when he needs it. What if we washed it in cold water on the gentle cycle and then let it air dry? What's the worst that could happen? If we absolutely shouldn't do it, does anyone have any ideas of how to clean it at home?
How to remove vomit from a wool suit? I cleaned most up fine last night, but missed a spot, and now it has dried and I am not sure how I should remove it and remove any resulting stain and odor.
Can a ketchup stain be removed from black wool suit pants? When I was eating lunch, I got some ketchup on my suit pants and I immediately dabbed it with some water and tried to get the ketchup off as subtle as possible. I brought it to the cleaners like 6 days later, picked it up 2 days later, and there was still a remnant of the stain. They said they would do it over again, but could it make a difference?
Will wool stretch if a pair of pants fits too tightly? I bought an vintage wool suit and unfortunately the pants are just about an inch too tight to be really comfortable (I can walk and even sit down, but if i wanted to dance or something, there might be a problem) I just want to know if I either wore it enough or mechanically tried to stretch it, if it would indeed stretch.

Where can I do research on astronauts suits? I heard that their suits can't have wool and linen combined. I got 2 answers from yahoo answers, but I want to do full research. If you could tell me about a research site where it is easily accessible, that would be great!
A clothing manufacturer has 100 m of silk and 180 m of wool? A clothing manufacturer has 100 m of silk and 180 m of wool. To make a suit requires 2 m of silk and 3 m of wool, and to make a dress requires 1 m of silk and 2 m of wool. If the profit on a suit is $180 and the profit on a dress is $60, how many suits and dresses should the manufacturer make to maximize the profit?
How can I figure out what material my suits are made out of? I have two suits. Both blue. I didn't buy either of them (don't ask). Basically, I'm trying to figure out what they're made out of (cotton? polyester? wool?) and I don't really know how to tell. I've checked them both and neither has a tag with the material on it, which is very weird...is there any way to tell? One of them definitely feels more "clothy" than the other one.
My wool suit got rained on. What will happen? My jacket is 100% wool on the outside, and 100% polyester on the onside. I got caught in a torrential downpour in the middle of the parking lot. It was so wet that my sleeves on the shirt I was wearing under my jacket got wet too. I was drenched. The jacket's hanging in my closet now. It's moist and still wet--more wet in some places than others. In some places it feels hard and wrinkled. Is it going to shrink? Can I bring it to the cleaners and it will be good as new?
Removing oil paint from wool pants? I have just bought a beautiful pair of suit wool pants, and accedentally put them on my sisters oil paint. There are one 1cm2 yellow spot and one tiny black spot. Does anyone know how to remove it? The pants are colour "James Brown". Thank you!
Why is it hard to find a wool women's business suit? I've been told and read that good quality suits should be made of natural fibers, such as wool. But as I look for more suits for work, I'm finding that many good quality brands (e.g. Calvin Klein, Tahari) use polyester or synethetic blends. And they are still pretty expensive, but not as much as the few wool suits I do find. Most men's suits are made of wool, why aren't women's suits? Is it "acceptable" in women's fashion?
Interested in a made-to-measure wool-cashmere suit for $350? I am collecting some data to see if there is interest in top quality, made-to-measure suits in the 18 - 35 demographic - specifically, the young grads, upstarts and professionals who don't want to spend $1000 on a single suit to wear to work 5 days a week. my concept is to provide fine tailoring for those on a limited budget, who want a comparable alternative to the off the rack European labels.
Where can I buy a clean cheap wool suit? Hey... I want to buy a suit. I want a very dark navy, solid (no stripes), suit (preferably wool), for under $200. Honestly, I'd rather spend $100 $130 max, but if $200 is the min so be it. I need it to be at a common-ish store... (I'm in Daytona Beach, FL) so nothing like "Hals Suits in Arizona"! yeah I'm not in AZ so... Any suggestions? I've checked Sears (they had a coat i liked but no pants to match it, and I want a 2 piece set), Burlington Coat Factory, TJMax (nothing, of course), Dillards (no solids in my price selection). I just need some suggestions.. help me out! -Stu holy shit i need it tonight so no eBay. And the first response doesn't even make any sense!!! do I know you??? Okay, none of you win (maybe cuz I couldn't find the goodwill store). JCPenney had the best selection/deals! Thats all you had to say
